International Women's Rights Day is an opportunity for Accor to proclaim its values loud and clear and to support all of its employees around the world - and women in general.
At Accor, shared values are inclusion, trust and respect for the diversity of all. Gender diversity and equality is one of the four key pillars of Accor's Diversity & Inclusion policy.
Since 2015, Accor has been committed to the HeForShe solidarity movement supported by the UN Women. In 2021, the Group was selected to join one of the six action coalitions of the new "Generation Equality" program of the UN Women World. Accor is officially part of the Gender-based Violence Coalition as co-leader with Kering, a founding company of the OneinThreeWomen network. Accor's commitments in this Coalition will be communicated next June at the Global Equality Forum in Paris.
Work is already underway to implement measures to raise awareness, prevention, support and protection of employees and workers in the following three areas:
- Sexism
- Sexual harassment
- Domestic Violence
The new objectives for Accor regarding the representation of women in management bodies over the coming years are as follows:
Executive Committee - Objectives:
- 30% women by 2022
- 40% of women by 2025
In 2020, the Group reached 18% women on the Group Executive Committee.
World Management Committees (Codirs) - Objectives :
- 40% women by 2022
- 45% of women by 2025
Directrices Hotels - Objective :
- 35%* of women by 2021
In 2015, 27% of Accor's hotel managers were women at the start of its HeForShe commitments. By 2020, this figure had risen to 34%.
* Scope: managed and franchised hotels
To achieve this ambition, RiiSE, Accor's international network in favor of diversity, is based on 2 strong pillars: Transmission & Empowerment and the elimination of all forms of discrimination, harassment or violence.
