The first Cyril Lignac’s restaurant outside France to open at the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam in the Netherlands

Qatar-based Katara Hospitality announced a strategic partnership between the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam and Celebrity Chef, TV star and cookbook author Cyril Lignac to introduce the very first Lignac’s restaurant outside France, in the Netherlands.

The Chef Cyril Lignac is set to open a restaurant at the prestigious InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam overlooking the banks of the Amstel river. Scheduled for early 2022, the concept will be based on Lignac’s successful venues in Paris.

Cyril Lignac is chef and owner of the restaurant Le Chardenoux in the 11th arrondissement in Paris, the restaurants Aux Prés and Le Bar des Prés in the 6th arrondissement, the Dragon cocktail bar in the 6th arrondissement. He was chef/owner of the gourmet restaurant Le Quinzième (1 Michelin star) in the 15th arrondissement of Paris until its closure in July 2019.

Since its premiere in 1867, InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam has been recognized as one of the most prestigious address in the Netherlands. After an unprecedented two-year renovation, the Amstel reopened in September 1992, and recaptured its former glory as the ‘Grand Dame’ of Dutch hotels.
