Thomas Willms plans to step down from his position as CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG and Deutsche Hospitality by September 30. Updated on 31/08/2020

On Thursday, August 27th in Frankfurt, Thomas Willms announced that he will leave his position as CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG and Deutsche Hospitality starting September 30th, 2020.

Thomas Willms declared:

 My task is now complete. I look forward to the vision, perfection and passion of the DH family that continues to shape this transformation process.

Under Thomas Willms direction, Deutsche Hospitality has increased its brands to five. This includes the launch of MAXX by Steigenberger and the successful acquisition of the Danish economy brand Zleep Hotels, which is currently being promoted throughout Europe.

Thomas Willms took over Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary this year with great efficiency, and also led the IntercityHotel and Jaz of the City City brand to national and international success. Under the leadership of Thomas Willms, the company has won awards for innovation and customer satisfaction.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, the CFO and Director of Human Resources, Matthias Heck, will also assume the responsibilities of CEO for the time being.
