This Wednesday, June 24, 2020, Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) announced that Latin American and Caribbean President Tim Sheldon is stepping down from his role after 35 years of service with the company. The company will announce his successor shortly.

Since 1985, Tim Sheldon has held various positions with Marriott International. He became the company's senior vice president and brand manager.

Over the past five years, Tim Sheldon has led the company's rapid expansion into the Caribbean and Latin America, doubling the region's portfolio to 268 properties.

He has added six new markets and eight brands to the regional portfolio under Starwood's oversight in the Caribbean and Latin America.
