Stuart Thomson, new VP Human Resources at Kerzner International

Stuart Thomson will direct the group's Human Resources and will work with the Director of Operations. This close collaboration will implement the best methods for human resources management and convey the corporate values to their best advantage. He will also be responsible for recruiting worldwide, to support strategic growth of Kerzner internationally at new destinations.

Stuart Thomson comes to Kerzner International with more than 15 years of experience in the hotel industry and human resources. He has held many operational positions. More recently he worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts as Regional Director Human Resources for the Middle East. He managed HR for more than 50 properties and 20,000 employees. He has also worked on the opening of resorts such as the St. Regis Abu Dhabi, the Dubai St. Regis, The Luxury Collection Ajman Saray as well as other properties. He also managed the organization of the hiring process of slightly more than 16,000 employees.

Stuart Thomson spent six years at Starwood's regional office in London to restructure human resources by implementing a position dedicated to Resourcing, apprenticeships and developing internal communications. Previously he was Human Resources Director at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa and began his career at the Hyatt Regency in Auckland.

Under control of Dubai interests, Kerzner International Holdings includes major resorts such as Atlantis The Palm - Dubai (1,500 rooms), Atlantis Sanya Hainan in China, under construction, The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences in Dubai. Under the brand One&Only, Kerzner manages nine luxury resorts worldwide, in the Bahamas, Mexico, the Island of Mauritius, the Maldives, South Africa, Dubai and Australia. Moreover, Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco, with 500 rooms and access to the golf course, is also operated by Kerzner.
