Rakesh Sarna, CEO of the Taj Group, will resign from his position in September

The hotel company, which belongs to the Tata Group, has received the resignation of its Managing Director & CEO Rakesh Sarna. He will leave his position in September.

Rakesh Sarna has resigned as Managing Director and CEO of the Taj Group. The hotel business belongs to the Tata Group, a heavyweight of the Indian industry in many fields.

Rakesh Sarna has worked in the hotel industry for many years, including thirty years at Hyatt Hotels. He joined the Taj Group in 2014 and showed very good financial results last year, with a profit of almost 2 billion rupees (27 million euros) for fiscal year 2015-2016.

After the departure of Cyrus Mistry, former president of the Tata Group who left the company last October, it will be Rakesh Sarna's turn to leave the group. He will assume his duties as Managing Director and CEO of the Taj Group until September 30th.
