The group's premium, midscale and economy segments are being structured with the arrival of a development professional.

Philippe Bijaoui spent 4 years at The Rezidor Hotel Group, 4 years at IHG and 2 years at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in development roles. After a period at Christie & Co, he returned to the operator side of the business following the reorganisation of the Accor group.

He joined the division under the responsibility of Patrick Morin and the market led by Patrick Mendes, with whom he will sit on the executive committee.

"He is responsible for defining the growth strategy in the region in collaboration with the Global Chief Development Officer, leading strategic hotel development projects and building on the strong relationships with current and potential Accor partners."
