Patrick Pacious, new CEO at Choice Hotels

Patrick Pacious has just been named CEO at Choice Hotels and will replace Stephen Joyce, who will assume the role of Vice-President of the Board of Directors. He will take up his duties in January 2018.

Patrick Pacious, the current President and Chief Operating Officer Choice Hotels, will succeed Stephen Joyce as CEO, and assume his new roles from 2018. Stephen Joyce will remain on the Board of Directors as Vice President. 

Patrick Pacious joined Choice Hotels in 2005 as Vice President Business Strategy & Corporate Development and Innovation, after working at  the management consulting firms BearingPoint and Arthur Andersen. He managed the group's growth strategies and contributed to the development of teh upscale segment with the brands Cambria Hotels and The Ascend Hotel Collection. In 2014 he became Executive Vice President and COO, and tehn President & COO in May 2016.

As of January 1, 2017, Choice Hotels ranked 15th group in Europe with a portfolio of 298 properties for a total of 302,869 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
