Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts creates an Executive Committee composed of "millennials"

Mövenpick Hotels & Resort announces the creation of ExCom-Y, an executive committee made up of Generation Y. The goal: to better meet the demands of the growing number of millennial customers.

The Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Group has just announced the creation of ExCom-Y, an Executive Committee gathering 10 young talents from Generation Y. Composed of 6 "millennials" from Mövenpick and 4 young entrepreneurs from all over the world, it aims at collecting new ideas and thus better respond to the demand of "millennials" which represent 30% of the group's overall customer base. Several nationalities and areas of expertise will be represented, including front office, digital content and strategy, sales, marketing, Food & Beverage, brand identity and quality service.

Craig Cochrane, Human Resources Director of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts said: "The Millennials are becoming an influential demographic group and are often found in the profile of our clients. We need to understand their needs and integrate their aspirations into our hotel offer. The creation of the ExCom-Y committee marks an important milestone in our ongoing strategy and we are eager to work with them on a wide range of topics essential to the evolution of our business."

As of January 1, 2016, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts was 55th in the ranking of hotel groups worldwide, with 77 properties totaling 19,350 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
