Hyatt: Malaika Myers appointed Chief Human Resources Officer

Malaika Myers has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. She will take office on September 5.

Malaika Myers has just been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. She has 25 years' experience in the HR field, and has already held similar functions, notably at PepsiCo, Diageo and Arysta LifeScience.

Currently holding a position as Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Jarden Corporation, she will join the Hyatt team on September 5, 2017.

"I have long admired Hyatt for its commitment to talent, and this role is a wonderful opportunity to join the Hyatt family in carrying forward that legacy of care," she stated. "Malaika is an accomplished executive in every discipline of Human Resources," Mark Hoplamazian, President and CEO of Hyatt, added. "And she has established an impressive track record of achieving people-focused results." 

As of January 1, 2016, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is the 12th largest hotel group worldwide with 605 properties and 161,737 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
