[Appointment] Marsha Walden appointed President and CEO of Destination Canada

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, announced the appointment of Marsha Walden as President and CEO of Destination Canada.

Graduated from Harvard Business School's Leading Change & Organization Renewal program, Marsha Walden has held several other leadership positions during her career, including with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and BBDO Canada.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ben Cowan-Dewar says:

“Marsha Walden is a trusted, respected and active member of the Team Canada tourism community. Her extensive knowledge and broad expertise will be an asset to us. Her thoughtful leadership and impeccable track record will help guide Destination Canada's medium- and long-term planning as we move forward with the recovery of our country's resilient tourism economy.”

She will take up her new position on 24th August 2020.
