After establishing itself on Brazil’s market in 2013, the aparthotels operator plans to accelerate growth there with the opening of 40 properties.

As Brazil prepares itself to host international events such as the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Summer Olympics in 2016, Adagio hopes to be ready and waiting. The joint-venture between the groups Accor and Pierre & Vacances/Center Parcs entered the market in 2013 with the simultaneous opening of seven aparthotels, and plans to accelerate its development there with 40 new properties.

These developments will be realized within the framework of a master franchise license with Accor and the will make use of the group's old hotels located in Brazil's main cities. "We want to accompany this growing market and we are all the more confident in the success of our concept since the Adagio project is in line with the lifestyle and consumer habits of Brazilians," declared Martine Balouka-Vallette, CEO Adagio.

The development of Adagio in Brazil is part of the brand's international development strategy, particularly on emerging markets. In 2013 the brand thus opened in two new destinations, Italy and Russia, and plans to develop in the Middle East with properties in Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Adagio is also strengthening its presence in France with its more economic brand Adagio Access.
