Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) and Barceló Hotel Group have just announced the reopening, after its complete renovation, of the Barceló Margaritas hotel, formerly Occidental Margaritas.
The Barceló Margaritas hotel is a 4 star property in which the hotel operator Blackstone has invested nearly 17 million euros for its complete transformation. This is the most complete refurbishment carried out in the property since its inauguration in 1974.
The hotel, located in Playa del Inglés in Gran Canaria, has 491 renovated rooms, including 168 suites and junior suites.
The investment has also been used to modernise and update the common areas, as well as to develop the gastronomic and leisure offer. An additional swimming pool with a family entertainment area has been built and new bars and restaurants have been added.
HIP explains that such a property "due to its size and privileged location, implies the creation of value through an investment and management plan that allows the hotel to be repositioned, which has a positive impact on the development of the destination. An objective shared with the Barceló Group, which incorporates its level of management into the asset to achieve a differential experience in the sector."
