After more than 40 years in business, the hotel has been completely renovated to modernise the property and improve the quality of service offered to guests.

A large-scale renovation

Each facility has been redesigned, modernised, expanded or improved.

The Plaza Workspace is the Crowne Plaza's new work and meeting concept, with over 7.600 square metres of meeting space and ballroom. The indoor pool has been upgraded and the fitness centre has been expanded. The restaurants have redesigned their entire offer and the rooms have been adapted to suit all occasions.

The renovation of the hotel was done with the intention of retaining aspects that reflect the hotel's past, including the frontage designed by the original owner. Long-time guests have come to appreciate the historical aspect of the place, which is known for its exceptional service. The hotel is now a member of IHG Hotels & Resorts. This gives guests the double guarantee of the Desmond family's experience in running the hotel, and they still manage the property.
