
To promote the development of its mid-range hotel segment, the government of Dubai has introduced a tax break for three- and four- star establishments. They will no longer have to pay the entire Municipality Fee, a 10% tax levied on the price of rooms sold.This measure is part of the tourism strategy developed between the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and the municipality of Dubai, which aims to attract 20 million visitors to the emirate annually by the year 2020.
