Tunisia relaxes visa procedures for Chinese and Indian tourists

Tourists from China and India no longer required to have visas to travel to Tunisia.

Amel Karboul, minister of Tourism in Tunisia, officially announced a visa exemption for Chinese and Indian tourists traveling to the country with tour operators, provided they have valid travel documents accompanied by a prepaid reservation. National authorities hope to see a new burst of tourism on the territory.

Visas will still be required for those Chinese and Indian tourists who wish to visit Tunisia on their own (visas are required for private tourism and business travel).
