NH Hotel Group has appointed a new CEO, Ramón Aragonés. Currently the Executive Managing Director of Business & Operations, he will formerly become the CEO during the next Board meeting. A look at his experience and the Group's recent transformations.
In addition to overseeing operations of the company's nearly 400 hotels, he carried out the portfolio repositioning plan, implemented the new sales and revenue management strategy, and, among other things, pursued the expansion strategy in Europe and the Americas.
During the same meeting, Juan José Andrés Alvez was also appointed new independent director of the Board of administration of NH Hotel Group. The Spanish champion led a revolution in which the shareholdes formed an anti-HNA coalition against the 30% shareholder, the Chinese group HNA, a global conglomerate, which owns many equity shares in hotel groups, including Carlson Rezidor since early 2016.
This has not prevented NH Hotels Groupe from achieving good financial results, and pursuing growth through many developments and renovation programs underway, particularly under its upscale brand NH Collection in Germany, Barcelona & Madrid and in 2018 in Toulouse-Blagnac, but also with the takeover of the Colombian group Hoteles Royal in 2015.
With the appointment of Ramón Aragonés to the position of CEO, NH Hotels Group plans to continue to grow and consolidate its project to transform the group.
