Carlson Rezidor's Russian portfolio is growing stronger with the announcement of another Radisson Blu Hotel address: Rostov-on-Don.

The Radisson Blu, Rostov-on-Don, should welcome its first clients at the beginning of 2017. This 81-room property will also have a restaurant, bar and spa. It will be located near the city's historic center, overlooking the banks of the Don River. The capital of the oblast of the same name in the southwest of the country, Rostov now has over a million inhabitants. Close to the Azov Sea and not far from the black Sea, the destination enjoys the growing popularity of beach resort and medical tourism.



Russia is a key market for Rezidor Hotel Group and its brand Radisson Blu: its properties currently operate at seven destinations throughout the Federation. Sotchi, Moscow and Saint-Petersburg now have four, three and two Radisson Blu hotels each respectively. The recent acquisition of Carlson Rezidor by the Chinese group HNAallows the new conglomerate to climb to 11 hotel operator worldwide in terms of number of rooms. As of January 1, 2016, HNA and Carlson Rezidor had a total of 182,521 rooms in close to 1,145 properties, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
