The Carlson Rezidor group has announced the upcoming opening of a new hotel in the centre of Venice, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Venice San Marco.

Radisson Blu has announced the signing of a partnership agreement to operate a new property in Venice, in the area of St. Mark's Square.

The Radisson Blu Hotel will have 50 rooms and suites, a bar, restaurant and gym. Many rooms will have views of the canal. The hotel is expected to open in late 2019, when Venice will be the European Capital of Culture. It will be the fourth hotel, from the group, in Italy and their second in the region of Venice.

As of January 2017, HNA and Carslon Rezidor rank 11th worldwide operator with 1,181 establishments totaling 188,013 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
