The Radisson Blu Mannheim opened its doors Monday: it is the brand's first address in the 'Quadratestadt', the large industrial city in southwestern Germany.
The property is located in the eastern part of the circular city of Mannheim, near the Rosengarten convention center and the Wasserturm. It has 229 rooms, including 13 apartments for long stays as well as 10 suites. The hotel Radisson Blu Mannheim also offers meeting spaces able to accommodate up to 160 guests, a bar, as well as a panoramic terrace. Business clientele in this dynamic city are naturally the property's core target. Located midway between Stuttgart and Frankfurt, it has successfully attracted businesses such as Caterpillar, Daimler, IBM, Roche, Siemens and Unilever.
Carlson Rezidor, recently bought by the Chinese group HNA, has a second address at the destination with the Park Inn by Radisson Mannheim Hotel. Positioned on the upscale segment, flagship brand Radisson Blu is now the hotel brand with the tenth strongest presence in the European Union. As of January 1, 2016, its regional portfolio had close to 140 properties, representing a capacity of 31,804 rooms throughout the EU, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
