
The Whitbread-owned budget chain claims it is outperforming the hotel market with overall sales rising 0.4% to £312.1m in the six months. On a likefor-like basis they were down 7.5%. RevPAR stabilised and was down by 9.2% on a like-for-like basis. The chain has introduced dynamic pricing to more than 100 hotels and is continuing to develop ways of widening its booking distribution, particularly online. Seven new Premier Inns opened in the UK in the first six months of this year, while overseas, one property opened in Dubai and its first hotel opens in Bangalore, India
