W Hotels to open a new hotel in Ibiza, Spain in summer of 2019.

W Hotels Worldwide, brand of Marriott International announced the opening of a hotel in Spain, the W Ibiza in the summer of 2019. The hotel will be located in Santa Eulalia del Rio, a seaside town nearby lively Ibiza.

“With its playful energy and bohemian spirit, Ibiza is an ideal destination and perfect match for W Hotels,” said Anthony Ingham, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide. “We have been present in Ibiza since 2010 with a variety of W music events and partnerships, so we’re thrilled to be finally opening a W Hotel on the island that we know our guests love.”

W Ibiza will be inspired by the eclecticism of the island and will embody its freedom of spirit.

The brand plans to have a sunset bar in rooftop with a swimming pool, and direct access to the seaside. It will have 162 rooms, a spa and a gym.

By 2021, W Hotels will have four brands in Spain: W Ibiza (2019), W Madrid (2019) and W Marbella (2021) in addition to W Barcelona.
