Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott International, announced its arrival in Germany with the opening of Nordport Plaza, Hamburg-Airport.
The property marks a milestone for the brand as it continues to open up more choice for travelers in high-demand destinations across the continent.
"With its intriguing design and vibrant social spaces, the hotel epitomizes the qualities we look for in an exceptional independent hotel," said John Licence, Vice President Premium and Select Brands Europe at Marriott International.
Inspired by its location, an aviation theme flows through the hotel. Furniture from the sixties and retro black and white aviation prints populate its public areas and guest rooms, while quirky flourishes such as 60's style Business Class food trays in the hotel's Restaurant Blue inject a sense of originality.
Extending to 10 floors high, the main building houses 188 rooms. The rooftop Senator Lounge & Sky Bar offers a panoramic views out over the airport to Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie concert hall. Additionally, the lobby provides an all-day menu and a 24-hour deli option and the wellness center includes a gym, sauna, therapy rooms and a relaxation area with an outdoor terrace.
Connected by a glass bridge to the accommodation tower, the adjoining four-story building houses Restaurant Blue and the hotel's conference center. With five flexible spaces and three boardrooms, Nordport Plaza can host functions for over 400 people.
