The group has announced the opening of InterContinental Sofia.
IHG succumbs to Sofia's charm: historic architecture as well as modernity and dynamism characterises this capital city. Located in Sofia centre, guests have views of some of the city’s local attractions including Bulgaria’s Parliament building, dating back to the 1880s.
This is IHG’s seventh opening in Eastern Europe but the first one in Bulgaria. The property offers 194 rooms including 37 suites.
Tom Rowntree, Vice President Brand Marketing, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, IHG, Europe commented: “The world of luxury travel is evolving and we know our discerning guests want to explore new cities and cultures, including emerging travel hot-spots such as Bulgaria”
Stefan Frank, Area General Manager for InterContinental Sofia added: “This hotel is perfect for both business and leisure travellers and we look forward to showcasing what beautiful Sofia has to offer.”
