IHG celebrates the opening of its 1000th hotel opening in EMEAA region

The group opens InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, in Vietnam.

Composed of 459 rooms, suites and villas, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort is located on Phu Quoc island, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve off the coast of Vietnam.

The hotel also offers six restaurants and bars as well as meeting facilities.

Kenneth Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa at IHG commented: “This milestone is testament to the appeal of our brands, the strength of our owner relationships and our well-established strategy to leverage scale and accelerate growth in some of the world’s fastest growing markets.”

IHG has an extensive development pipeline in EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa region) with 321 hotels (63,500+ rooms) set to open in the next 3-5 years.
