Hampton by Hilton expands its presence in China and Germany

The brand is opening new hotels in the U.S. and abroad as part of its global expansion strategy.

Hampton by Hilton, Hilton's upper-midscale brand, announced the opening of nine new properties this month, including Hampton by Hilton Dortmund Phoenix See in Germany (130 rooms). Centrally located, guests will enjoy the signature offerings of the Hampton brand, with a complimentary breakfast, a fitness center and a business center.

Additionally, the opening of two new properties – Hampton by Hilton Shunde Longjiang (145 rooms) and Hampton by Hilton Suzhou Xiangcheng District – consolidate Hampton's position with a fast-growing brand pipeline in China.

"Hampton has established its presence both domestically and abroad in popular destinations where our signature service and value-added amenities are highly regarded," said Shruti Gandhi Buckley, global head, Hampton by Hilton.

This past month, the brand welcomed several new properties, including:

  • Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Detroit/Warren in Michigan (101 rooms)
  • Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton St. George in Utah (124 rooms)

Hampton also grew its presence in Massachusetts, California, Oklahoma and Canada.

As of January 1, 2018, Hilton Worldwide had 5 ,236 hotels with a capacity of 848,014 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
