Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the hotel franchise company, has teamed up with Roadchef, one of the UK's leading motorway service area operators, to announce the forthcoming opening of Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East, the UK's first Super 8 hotel.
The Super 8 by Wyndham budget brand operates in countries including the United States, China, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and now the UK. It has nearly 2,700 hotels worldwide.
The 41-bedroom Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East is due to open this month following extensive refurbishment. Conveniently located close to the M56 motorway, the hotel will cater for travellers from the Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales regions. Roadchef has invested millions in modernising its roadside hotels across the UK to meet the changing needs of customers.
The design of the hotel has been influenced by the modern look of Super 8 hotels in North America and Europe. Roadchef's research took into account the preferences of UK travellers, focusing on convenience, choice, flexibility and the growing demand for well-designed electric vehicle charging options suitable for overnight stays.
The Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East will offer a variety of room types aimed at families, groups, couples and singles. The hotel will also offer a bar and restaurant, as well as on-site electric vehicle charging facilities, all at an affordable price.
In keeping with Roadchef and Wyndham's commitment to sustainability, the hotel will participate in Wyndham's Green Certification programme, which focuses on energy efficiency, emissions reduction, water conservation and waste minimisation.
The Super 8 by Wyndham Chester East joins the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts portfolio of more than 65 hotels in the UK, all part of the award-winning Wyndham Rewards loyalty programme.
