Six brand new Virgin’s riads will open their doors at Kasbah Tamadot, a retreat in Morocco, in next July. Furthermore, the hotel will re-open in its entirety mid-October, following a period of partial closure and restorations.
Before the reopening of the hotel, which was damaged by the earthquake that occurred in the region last year, six brand new three-bedrooms riads will welcome guests from this summer.
Each bedroom will feature its own private bathroom, lounge area and terrace ands there will be a Rooftop Tented Suite which is comprising of two seamlessly connected tents and also featuring a hot tub on the spacious roof terrace. Each Riad will also provide guests with their own private pool area.
Decorated in traditional Moroccan style, the interiors will feature soft-furnishings hand-made by artisans from the local Berber community supported by Kasbah Tamadot's charitable arm, The Eve Branson Foundation. And to guarantee a more authentic experience, the hotel is operated by a 100% Moroccan team.
Alongside the Riads, a brand-new restaurant and lounge, Asayss, will also open in July under the direction of Kasbah Tamadot's award-winning Executive Chef, Yassine Khalal, serving Moroccan and international cuisine. The name Asayss is a nod to a traditional Moroccan space where poets would gather to share their verses and enjoy grand feasts.
Sustainability is at the heart of this new F&B concept with fresh and local ingredients, the majority of which is sourced from the hotel's own extensive kitchen garden.
Guests will still be able to enjoy the infinity pool area which offers a by 360-degree views of the High Atlas Mountains, but also to make the most of the local spa treatments including a traditional Hamman, as well as authentic Moroccan cooking lessons and guided hiking and cycling in the surrounding Atlas Mountains.
