IHG plans to open the doors of its Kimpton Fitzroy London hotel at the end of October 2018
The first Kimpton Hotel in the United Kingdom will open this year in a late 19th-century building. Kimpton Fitzroy London will offer 334 rooms to its guests, including 39 suites.
The luxury brand founded in 1981 and acquired by IHG in 2015 is in full development. It currently operates 67 hotels. 3 projects that are to open on the old continent (Frankfurt, London, Paris) will complete its European portfolio, which is currently comprised of a single property in Amsterdam.
Earlier this year, IHG and Covivio entered into an agreement to change the brand and operate 12 hotels (and one pipeline hotel) currently operated under the Main and De Vere brands. Principal London was the first of these hotels, and has been renamed Kimpton Fitzroy London.
