Rosewood Vienna

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Rosewood Vienna on 1st August, marking the brand’s fifth property in Europe.

This luxury property is situated on Petersplatz, one of the most famous squares in Vienna’s Old Town, near many of the city’s most important cultural and historic sites.

The hotel features 71 guest rooms and 28 suites over its 7 stories and each room has its own individual character. The property’s presidential suite, called Hoffmann House, offers city views from its French balcony, a master bedroom, a separate living room, a kitchen, an entertainment area, and an eight-person dining room.

Situated in a historic 19th century building, Rosewood Vienna is a collaboration between A2K Architects, BEHF Architects and interior designer Alexander Waterworth. The design is a mix between historic charm and European Belle Époque architecture with modern interiors.

Neue Hoheit, the hotel’s restaurant, is a brasserie that serves up European cuisine alongside classic Austrian dishes, all made using seasonal market ingredients. It offers views over the city and two terraces, the Garden Room and Secret Garden, offer private indoor and outdoor dining. A rooftop cocktail bar imagined by interior designer Kroenland provides cocktails, spirits and rare vintages to guests. A dedicated entrance takes clients directly to the restaurant and bar via elevator. Finally, Salon Aurelie is an elegant Viennese coffee house in the hotel’s lobby that serves snacks and hot beverages.

Inspired by a grand apartment once located in the heart of the city, Rosewood Vienna’s Pavilion is home to a large space with versatile amenities and a capacity of up to 110 people across four rooms for social events and business meetings. The Pavilion includes state-of-the-art technology and also the Garden Room and Secret Garden can be used for outdoor gatherings.

The property is home to Asaya Spa, which offers four treatment rooms, a social suite and a hydrotherapy relaxation room, as well as an extensive selection of treatments, therapies and wellness programmes. Also built into the spa are a relaxation area, a steam bath and an experience shower.

The hotel’s “Discover My Vienna” programme provides guests with access to a select set of cultural activities that are personally curated and guided by local experts. Experiences include shopping for Augarten porcelain, designing tailormade shoes at Scheer boutique, and authentic culinary experiences at a traditional Austrian tavern.

The opening of Rosewood Vienna offers today's ultra-luxury travellers a new kind of Viennese lifestyle, one that is imbued with the rich history of the destination yet the modern and cosmopolitan outlook befitting this dynamic European capital. We are thrilled to open our doors to a distinctive hospitality experience in one of the world's greatest cities.
