Madrid

The "Madrid Gran Vía 25 Affiliated by Meliá", formerly known as Tryp Gran Vía, is about to undergo a major transformation to become a "Zel" brand hotel by Meliá and Rafa Nadal.

Located at 25 Gran Via, the 175-room hotel, currently rated 3-star, is owned by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and managed by Meliá Hotels International.

The complete refurbishment project will be supervised by the Álvaro Sans studio (ASAH) and will see the hotel evolve into a 4-star establishment, with increased room size. The project represents an investment of €13 million for the owner and is due for completion in 2025, when the hotel will reopen.

This transformation reveals the identity of another of the four "Zel" hotels that Meliá is currently developing. It joins 'Zel Costa Brava', which will open this summer, as well as 'Zel Sayulita' in Mexico and 'Zel' in the Dominican Republic, both scheduled for 2025. These establishments join the first 'Zel Mallorca' hotel in Palmanova, due to open in June 2023.
