TFE Hotels, a leading Sydney-based hotel group, announces the appointment of Asli Kutlucan, a seasoned hotelier, as General Manager of Adina Hotels in Europe.
This strategic decision is part of TFE's plans to introduce the A by Adina brand to the European market in 2025 and is accompanied by pre-development activities for two new A by Adina properties in Australia.
Asli takes up her role at Adina Hotels during a phase of strong growth, marked by the opening of seven new hotels since 2021, including the launch of the Adina Hotel brand in Austria and Switzerland, as well as the Adina Serviced Apartments in Vienna.
Returning home to Berlin after her first ever visit to Australia in December, Asli expressed her inspiration for the sincere hospitality she had experienced. She highlights the remarkable resilience of the extended stay segment in recent years, positioning Adina Hotels and Serviced Apartments as key players.
Asli's career in the hotel industry began in her family's hotel in Turkey, and since then she has contributed to the operation, development, construction and acquisition of hotels in the US, UK, Rwanda and, most recently, Amsterdam.
Asli joins Adina after thirteen years at Cycas Hospitality, where she held the position of Development Director, a responsibility that included promoting employee culture and growing the Cycas hotel portfolio in the UK and continental Europe. Starting with a single hotel in Liverpool, Asli leaves behind a portfolio of 54 hotels (approximately 8,000 keys) across 12 countries and categories.
Asli, who began her tenure at Adina's head office in Berlin in mid-January, brings a wealth of practical experience in the hotel industry combined with an MBA in Finance from the University of Liverpool.
“With Asli’s appointment, we are solidifying our strong leadership base in Europe. And I am confident her skillset and experience, together with the combined expertise of the current Adina team, will build solid foundations for future growth and the introduction of new brands.” - TFE Hotels' CEO, Antony Ritch
“There’s no doubt Adina has a reputation for quality. It’s a relatively young brand and it’s owned by entrepreneurial-minded people. With this approach to management, we can be agile in adopting new trends in hospitality and in creating and deploying brands.” - Asli Kutlucan
