Sustainable urban regeneration: Hotel Not Hotel calls on Extendam

Hotel Not Hotel Rotterdam

Extendam has been supporting the Dutch Hotel Not Hotel group in its development in the Netherlands since 2021, and the two groups worked together on the recently opened Hotel Not Hotel Rotterdam.

After 18 months of work to clean up and convert former offices, the Hotel Not Hotel Rotterdam was completed. The 960 m² property has 36 rooms on 3 floors with the possibility of expansion to 51 rooms and the creation of a 200 m² botanical garden.

The new hotel is located next to the Rotterdam train station, providing quick access to the entire office area around the station, while being close to major tourist attractions such as the Market Hall and the Erasmus Bridge. The city's industrial port is also within easy reach from this address.

Hotel Not Hotel Rotterdam aims to break the mould of the traditional hotel industry by adapting its offer and services to new customer expectations. The core target group is mainly young working people who are keen on large, fun communal areas but also on themed F&B offers.

Rotterdam is a rising star in the tourism industry, with more and more travellers coming to the city every year to discover what the gateway to Europe has to offer. Its tourism offer is definitely geared towards the younger generation of city breakers. The hotel is therefore perfectly suited to the type of tourists visiting this destination. 

By rebuilding the city on top of the city, we intend to create value while limiting urban sprawl and, in this case, depolluting obsolete assets in order to better meet the challenges of environmental preservation and sustainable development.
