Sofitel settles in Jordan for the first time

AccorHotels announced the opening of its first Sofitel in Jordan, called the Grand Amman.

The group is pursuing its strategy to expand in the Middle East by increasing its footprint in this country.

The Grand Amman hotel will open in late 2019 and will include 298 rooms and 67 serviced apartments. The property will be close to Abdali Downtown, a project having for ambition to become the major leisure, tourism and business center in Amman.

Business travellers will find themselves based near principal institutions such as Ministry of Commerce and the Interior Ministry.

As of January 1, 2017, AccorHotels ranked 6th hotel group worldwide with 4,149 establishments totaling over 583,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
