This opening is part of SmartRental Group's strategy to reach 500 rooms in the Canary Islands by the end of 2024.
Located close to the beach at Playa del Inglés in Gran Canaria, this new luxury hotel was formerly part of Labranda Hotels & Resorts. The Akeah Broncemar Hotel was renovated in 2014 and now offers 130 double rooms as well as an adult pool, children's pool, heated Jacuzzi, evening entertainment and a poolside restaurant and bar.
"This new opening in Gran Canaria is very special for us and we hope to become a reference in the region. SmartRental Group continues its firm commitment to the transformation of the hospitality sector and we continue to work to improve our guests' experience, always offering exceptional and high quality experiences." - Fernando Rodriguez, founding partner of SmartRental Group
With the addition of the Akeah Broncemar, SmartRental Group will now operate three resorts under the Akeah brand, already present in Madrid and Budapest. The group has no intention of stopping there, and recently announced the development of a fourth resort, the Akeah Oporto Secret Garden, due to open in 2026.
