[Update] SmartRental Group is about to inaugurate a new holiday accommodation under its Smartr Stays brand on the Costa Brava and the signing of a new SmartRental Collection property in Lisbon.
Called Smartr Stays Lloret de Mar, the property has 59 holiday flats, some of which are equipped with saunas and jacuzzis. Furthermore, there are communal areas such as a swimming pool and conference room.
Located around 30 km from Girona airport, the property is close to Fenals beach and also overlooks a garden.
This project is the first resulting from the collaboration between the Excelion investment fund and SmartRental Group in Spain. This partnership should lead to new developments in Spain and other markets in the near future.
The property announced in Portugal will be located in the heart of the capital and is due to open in the third quarter of 2025. The apartment building has 7 floors and will undergo a complete renovation to adapt it to its new hotel use.
This new Portuguese property will comprise a total of 53 accommodation units, including 45 self-contained studios and 8 double rooms, for a total of 106 beds. On the ground floor, guests will be welcomed in a lobby-reception area that will include a reception lounge, a bar-restaurant and a patio.
The group has announced that it is expanding rapidly in Portugal and is in advanced negotiations for other projects in Lisbon and Porto, which will ‘consolidate its strong expansion in the country’.
SmartRental currently has 18 properties, with a total of almost 1,000 keys. The group has been particularly dynamic since the start of the year, with the opening of an Akeah-branded hotel in the Canary Islands and the announcement of a new project in Zaragoza.
