Interstate Hotels & Resorts, the international division of Aimbridge Hospitality, announced the opening of six properties in the United Kingdom and Europe over the next 12 months.

Three properties will open in the United Kingdom: Aloft Birmingham, Bodmin Jail and Hampton by Hilton Canterbury.

The three others will be located in Europe: Holiday Inn Express Almere, Holiday Inn Express Brussels and Sapphire House - a hotel in the Autograph Collection - in Antwerp.

These openings follow the growth of the company's portfolio to which the 31 properties of Jupiter Hotels were added at the end of 2020.

There is no doubt that the last year has been the most challenging to hit our industry in living memory. Across our portfolio, like all other hotel operators worldwide, we have had to adapt to the turbulent market conditions and the significant drop in demand.

However, with 2021 underway, we are optimistic about the year ahead and confident that thanks to the roll out of vaccinations across the globe, the hospitality industry will be able to get to its feet again and that we’ll see a resurgence in both business and leisure travel.

Our planned openings for 2021 include some truly unique properties and hotels in key visitor locations, with a real mix of brand offerings.

We look forward to working with our owners to open these sites in the coming months and welcome in their first guests as the world starts to move back towards a sense of normality.
