The hotel scene in Saudi Arabia continues to flourish with the announcement of three new openings: Norlana by NEOM, The St. Regis Red Sea Resort by Marriott International and voco & Suites Jeddah by IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Norlana: A modern project by NEOM

NEOM, the visionary regional development in north-west Saudi Arabia, unveils Norlana. Located along the coastline of the Gulf of Aqaba, Norlana is designed for an exclusive community of 3,000 residents.

The community includes 711 residential properties, luxury mansions, flats and beachfront villas integrated into the surrounding dunes. Norlana features a state-of-the-art 120-berth marina, an 18-hole golf course and a world-class equestrian and polo centre. Residents can also enjoy a range of water-based activities, from sailing to diving, in a sustainable and luxurious setting. In line with NEOM's commitment to conservation, Norlana is working to preserve the environment.

This announcement follows NEOM's recent developments, including Leyja, Epicon, Siranna and Utamo, all contributing to sustainable tourism destinations in the Gulf of Aqaba.

The St. Regis Red Sea Resort: Luxury on a Private Island

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts unveils The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, the first private island to open in the Red Sea, establishing a luxury regenerative tourism destination on the west coast of Saudi Arabia.

Located on Ummahat Island in the Al Wajh lagoon, the resort features cutting-edge architecture, sustainable design details and bespoke services. Accessible by chartered boat or seaplane from the brand new Red Sea International Airport, the resort offers 90 beachfront and water villas, each with a private pool, sun terrace and outdoor shower as well as dining options, a spa and fitness and wellness activities.

Designed by architect Kengo Kuma with interiors by Kristina Zanic Consultants, the resort's design reflects the surrounding coral reefs, marine life and sand dunes.

Adopting sustainable practices, the resort is powered by renewable energy, and waste reduction, recycling and environmental conservation are at the heart of its daily operations.

voco & Suites Jeddah: IHG expands its premium portfolio

IHG Hotels & Resorts continues to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia with the signing of voco & Suites Jeddah in partnership with Rusd Group. The 110-key hotel will open in September 2024, offering a distinctive hospitality experience.

voco & Suites Jeddah will overlook the Red Sea and be close to Jeddah's new city centre, called Jeddah Central Development - a mega project of the Public Investment Fund (PIF). With 110 keys, it will offer a wide selection of rooms and suites. The hotel's R&B offering will include three distinct dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a café, offering diverse culinary options. voco & Suites Jeddah will also be equipped to meet the needs of businesses, with four venues for meetings and events. Other amenities include a fitness centre and swimming pool.
