Riu has announced the future opening of its first property in the United Kingdom. The hotel is expected to open in 2023 in the City of Westminster.
Riu Plaza London Victoria will be housed in an existing building that was built in the 1960s. Renovation work will be carried out on the site before it opens its doors as a 4-star hotel next year. The structure and certain elements of the original façade will be kept; however, the interiors will be entirely transformed. The four primary pillars of the transformation are design, comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
The hotel will boast 435 modern rooms and suites, offering views across London. Additionally, it will have a full breakfast buffet, an à la carte restaurant serving dinner, a lobby bar, WiFi, and a 24/7 gym with the latest equipment.
Located right next to Victoria Station, Riu Plaza London Victoria will provide easy access for its guests to notable London sights, such as Westminster Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. For those arriving from abroad, Gatwick Airport will only be 30 minutes away by train from the hotel.
