Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its portfolio in Italy with five new hotel contracts and seven planned openings, marking a significant advancement in its growth strategy and demonstrating its commitment to establishing its brands in key travel markets.
Italy represents an important growth market for Radisson Hotel Group, attracting millions of visitors each year to cities such as Rome, Venice, and Milan. Its cultural heritage and historical significance make it an ideal location for expanding luxury lifestyle brands, including the Radisson Collection. Additionally, the group is targeting emerging cities like Bergamo and Pisa, while also considering Italy's role as a major business center, aligning with its strategy to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
In the past year, Radisson Hotel Group has signed five new hotel contracts and plans to open seven additional properties in 2025, which will add over 1,000 rooms to its Italian portfolio. This expansion has increased the number of hotels in Italy from three to 20 in just six years, supporting the group's goal of reaching a total of 30 hotels signed and under development by 2027.
The upcoming hotels include the Radisson Collection Hotel, San Gottardo Como in Como, art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio (which will mark the brand's first presence in Italy), and Radisson Blu Hotel, G.I. Rome in Rome, Radisson Blu Hotel, Bergamo in Bergamo, Radisson Blu Hotel, Florence in Florence, Radisson RED Naples in Naples, and Radisson Hotel Pisa near the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
