UMusic Hotels has just inaugurated its hotel in the heart of downtown Madrid, which is also the brand's first property in the world.
UMusic Hotels is a new international hotel brand combining music-inspired accommodation and entertainment experiences, jointly created by Universal Music Group and Dakia Entertainment Hospitality Group. The aim is to provide unique experiences for fans, guests and artists, with music and entertainment as the basis of the design.
Embodying the unique spirit of each location, the hotels will draw inspiration from their respective local cultures and serve as creative centres, promoting positive social change, education and innovation through the power of music.
Located in the heart of downtown Madrid and inspired by the city's thriving culture, the brand has transformed the building that houses the historic Albéniz Theatre, restoring its essence and returning an important cultural space to this popular area of the capital.
The hotel, which has undergone a complete renovation to become a 5-star property, includes 130 rooms, two lobbies, meeting rooms, a bar-restaurant, an outdoor pool and a rooftop bar overlooking the Madrid skyline.
It was recently announced that the musical "Company" will be the first production at the restored and historic Albeniz Theatre. The famous actor Antonio Banderas will reprise his role as director and the main character, Bobby. The show will run until 14 February 2023.
The new UMusic Hotel will highlight Madrid as a dynamic centre for music, arts and entertainment; serving as a creative hub that will promote social impact, education, sustainability and innovation through the power of music. [...] This opening has significant strategic value for the chain. Not only is it our first property in Europe, but the new hotel is housed in a historic building that combines hospitality and entertainment.
