
Rosewood São Paulo opened recently announcing Rosewood Hotels entrance into South America as the ultra-luxury brand's new global icon. The hotel is located in the heart of the vibrant city near Avenida Paulista.
Rosewood São Paulo is set within the historical enclave of Cidade Matarazzo a complex of elegantly preserved buildings from the early 20th century that have been carefully transformed into private residences high-end stores and entertainment venues.
The new hotel also houses a collection of 450 groundbreaking site-specific artworks created in collaboration with local artists whose work draws on the rich experience of Brazil. The Rosewood São Paulo grounds also include the Chapel of Santa Luzia which dates back to 1922 and has been carefully restored to preserve its ornate architecture.
Featuring 160 guestrooms and suites along with 100 Private Rosewood Suites the hotel’s luxurious accommodations are spread across the restored Matarazzo Maternity and the vertical garden tower. The Matarazzo Maternity holds a symbolic and sentimental meaning to the city as 500,000 Brazilians were born there. As both an emblem of the city’s rich history, Cidade Matarazzo holds a central place in the hearts of many generations of Paulistanos.
