In Spain, a tourist complex unlike any other has just opened its doors. The Nature Resort Rioja has been designed to be easily accessible to people with disabilities.
The largest accessible tourist complex in Europe, Natura Resort, located in the town of Casalarreina (La Rioja), opened its facilities on the Iberian Peninsula on 12 August.
All the spaces occupied by tents and bungalows are accessible to people with disabilities, which has been verified and certified by the ONCE Foundation.
Natura Resorts Rioja is a proposal designed for everyone, based on nature, the enjoyment of the environment with all kinds of activities and gastronomy from a sustainable and ecological point of view, which has a route with intelligent and accessible signage.
The F&B offer plays an important role, since it is based on local and seasonal products that allow the discovery of typical dishes of the destination while being part of a sustainable approach.
This project with a strong social dimension required an investment of 7 million euros in order to offer 58,000 square metres of facilities and services, with 40 bungalows that can accommodate 220 people, without any type of physical barrier for its guests.
