Nobu Madrid

Nobu Hospitality, Robert de Niro's hospitality chain, is coming to Madrid in 2023 with the assistance of Millenium Hospitality Real Estate.

The office building that Millenium Hospitality Real Estate has purchased in Madrid for €36.7 million at the end of 2021 will become Nobu Hospitality's eleventh property in Europe and fifth in Spain.

Nobu Hospitality has entered into a long-term agreement with Millenium Hospitality Real Estate SOCIMI ("MHRE") to develop Nobu Hotel Madrid. MHRE already has a portfolio of five-star hotels across Spain and Portugal.

The building, which is currently being transformed, is located in Calle Alcalá 26, between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol, "today the cultural and commercial epicentre of the capital, where some of the most important international luxury hotels are also located".

Nobu Hotel Madrid, whose opening date and number of rooms have not yet been announced, will include a Nobu restaurant and bar on three levels, a large rooftop bar and lounge with views of the city, as well as a gym and spa.

The restaurant will be redesigned by the California-based architecture and design group, Studio PCH. Studio PCH has designed several Nobu properties, including the highly regarded Nobu Malibu and Nobu Hotel San Sebastián.

The Madrid hotel will be Millennium Hospitality Real Estate's second project with Nobu Hospitality, as they will convert the famous Palacio Vista Eder, built in 1912, into Nobu San Sebastian, which will open in 2023.

We are absolutely delighted to finally be moving into the beautiful city of Madrid, a centre of art, culture and gastronomy. This will be our fifth hotel in Spain and we look forward to expanding our presence to create a truly memorable hospitality experience for local residents as well as our international guests.

Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality

We are very proud to continue our excellent relationship with a successful international luxury brand and to bring the Nobu experience and exciting rooftop restaurant and bar to the city of Madrid, which we are sure will be well received by local residents and travellers alike.

Javier Illán Plaza, President of Millenium Hospitality Real Estate

The new property marks the brand's 11th hotel on the European continent, MEININGER Hotels already has a presence in London, Barcelona, Ibiza, Marbella and Warsaw, with projects under development in Rome, San Sebastian, Santorini and Hamburg.
