NH Hotel Group aims to open around 2,500 rooms between 2022 and 2025, having already signed 16 hotels with four of its brands.
During the general meeting of shareholders, Ramón Aragonés, the group's CEO, stated that 16 hotels have been signed and others are being negotiated to open in the next three years.
The focus is on the upper end of the market, with management or variable income contracts, with the aim of strengthening the chain in key markets. NH Collection accounts for 37% of future rooms, 31% is Nhow, 26% is NH Hotels and 6% is the luxury brand Anantara.
45% of the contracts signed are for the management model, which is explained by the fact that "investor confidence is very high", according to Ramón Aragonés. He also adds that with the health crisis "we have gained the respect of our backers, mainly institutional funds, and they all want to do things with us".
38% of the rooms to be opened over the next three years are in Latin America, 30% in Central Europe, 20% in Italy and 12% in Spain, Portugal and France.
In Italy, the company has signed up one NH hotel and three NH Collection hotels, in Spain, two Collection hotels and one Anantara hotel, while in Central Europe, the company plans to open one NH Collection hotel and one Nhow hotel. In the Americas, they will expand with NH Hotels and Nhow.
