February 1, 2023 marks the opening of the first property in German-speaking Switzerland for NH Hotel Group with the opening of NH Bern The Bristol.

The former Bristol Hotel, now renamed NH Bern The Bristol, is housed in a historic 1920s building with a distinctive sandstone façade.

It houses 100 rooms and suites, a bar with terrace, a breakfast restaurant and a fitness room. The junior suites on the sixth floor offer a view of the roofs of Bern. Some rooms also have a French balcony.

The design concept in British vintage style takes up the contrast between the old building and the modern conversion of 2018 with, for example, tartan patterns. 

Having already successfully managed two hotels in Geneva, we want to expand our portfolio in Switzerland in a targeted manner. We believe that the Swiss capital is particularly well placed for this. Bern has always been very attractive for city tourism in Switzerland and abroad, so our presence there makes perfect sense.
