MGallery announces the opening of Palazzo Tirso Cagliari - MGallery in early April in an Italian palace dating from the 1920s.

An architectural gem dating from the early 20th century, this former Italian palace has been transformed into a 5-star hotel with 85 rooms, including 9 suites, 2 restaurants, one of which is gourmet, and a rooftop with a view of the entire city, 2 bars, a Spa by l'Occitane, a gym and 3 meeting rooms.

The gourmet restaurant, called TERRA, is run by chef Emanuele Scarello who works with his team in an open kitchen, allowing guests to see all the stages of preparation of the dishes, orchestrated by Alessio Signorino, a young Sardinian chef.

Guests also have access to the Tirso Beach Club, a seaside property 10 minutes away from the hotel, which reinforces the Palazzo Tirso - MGallery offer with its link to the sea.

Located in front of the tourist port of Cagliari and close to the central Via Roma, the hotel was designed by the architect Flavio Scano, a native of Cagliari. The building is one of the first examples of neoclassical concrete architecture in Sardinia. Formerly the headquarters of major institutions, the building now belongs to the Puddu Costruzioni group.

The architects Armando Bruno, CEO of Studio Marco Piva, and Ferdinando Tedesco, Chief Decorator, have developed a project that respects the building's historical heritage and meets the needs of today's travellers. The property has also retained its Neo-Renaissance style façade.
