New immersive restaurant Under The Sea opens in Paris

A new Parisian F&B address has just opened its doors, the Under The Sea restaurant. This unique property offers its customers a dive into the depths of the ocean.

Ephemeragroup is opening a new address in the City of Light, in the 13th arrondissement. Named Under The Sea, this ephemeral restaurant promises a unique immersive experience to its customers. Indeed, it is possible to have lunch and dinner in a setting worthy of the novel "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" by Jules Vernes.

A sensory experience that mobilises all the senses, from sight to taste to hearing, creating a most unusual atmosphere. This is Ephemeragroup's first address in the capital and the group has therefore decided to mark the occasion with a decoration that has been fine-tuned to the smallest detail.

The restaurant's marine decor was designed by a film decorator for total immersion. A video projection as well as light and sound effects are used to plunge customers into the abyss.

The cuisine obviously highlights seafood products in order to stick to the theme to the end. Chef Loris de Vaucelles, a graduate of the Institut Paul Bocuse, is in charge of the menu. The fish used in the dishes are all from French and sustainable fishing, thus making the property a sustainable one.

This unique 100-seat restaurant will remain in Paris for 18 months before the set is dismantled to be reconstituted in another French city. Under The Sea is located at the foot of the French National Library, in one of the unknown rooms of the MK2 Bibliothèque cinema.

This is not the first French address of the group, which before the capital had settled in Lyon, a city renowned for its gastronomy. Ephemeragroup has opened two locations in the city's shopping centre, Part-Dieu. One is themed on Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and the second, called "Athera", is themed on the enchanted forest.
