Grecotel Hotels & Resorts unveils a new high-end property in the heart of the Greek capital, called The Dolli at Acropolis.
Located in the Plaka area of Athens, The Dolli at Acropolis offers 46 guest rooms and private flats with unique views of the city and its surroundings.
The building was built in 1925 as a villa by Greek architect Andreas Kriezis and has been fully restored and modernised as a hotel. However, few of the original elements have been preserved inside the building.
Greek architect Stelios Kois is responsible for the design of the rooftop with infinity pool and the hotel restaurant. In terms of design and decoration, contemporary designers such as François-Xavier Lalanne and Claude Lalanne stand alongside classic works by Picasso and Cocteau.
In the Dolli Lounge and the library, guests can relax. They can also enjoy the fitness area with sauna.
The panorama played the main role in the development of this project. We modified the typical roof design and included elements that are more in tune with the natural landscape. This creates a special environment in which the city scenery and its landmarks perfectly complement the composition of the building.
