The Thai group announces the debut of its Oaks brand in Lebanon.

The Oaks Beirut is scheduled to launch in mid-2018 and will feature 110 modern rooms. The hotel will be located in Sodeco, one of Beirut’s commercial areas. Moreover, it will be 5 minutes’ drive from the city centre and 15 minutes from Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport.

The property is the former Hotel de Ville Beirut and will relaunch as Oaks after a full refurbishment.

Different services will be available such as an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge bar and café, a rooftop pool and bar and conference areas.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO Minor Hotels commented: “For Minor Hotels adding Lebanon to our footprint has considerable strategic value […] Beirut is a dynamic city with so much to offer and is widely regarded as one of the most influential trend setters in the region.”

As of January 1, 2017, Minor Hotel Group ranked 61st hotel group worldwide with 129 establishments totaling over 19,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
